How This Tool Works
Enter the length and width of your area and the height/depth of material in inches to get cubic feet and cubic yards.
Formula & Method
Cubic feet = length × width × (height in inches ÷ 12). Cubic yards = cubic feet ÷ 27.
Example Calculation
A 12×12 ft area filled 6 inches deep needs 72 cubic feet, or 2.67 cubic yards, of material.
